This was the first time that the Troupe presented Bard in the Yard. John Marwick and Jerry Duckor pulled together and directed a staged reading of scenes featuring some of Shakespeare's women characters. The show was performed in Marwick's garden. No photos or material so far.
For the Troupe's tenth anniversary Florence McFarland and others helped create a revue. Bill Wollerman accompanied many of the skits on the piano.

Trevor Rose directed Jean Anouilh's play The Lark about Joan of Arc. The play won an award for Best Costumes in that year's Wellington District Theatre Federation's full length play competition.
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams was directed by Florence McFarlane and Perry Rush. This was the first time that audience and actors were both on the stage in an intimate setting.

In 2000 John Marwick directed The Winter's Tale for the first time (he presented the play again as Bard in the Yard in 2021). This production was mounted on a multi-level stage in Muritai School Hall. Sicilia was set in late 1930s UK and Bohemia was 16 year's later in 1950s New Zealand.
