Shakespeare’s Women

This was the first time that the Troupe presented Bard in the Yard. John Marwick and Jerry Duckor pulled together and directed a staged reading of scenes featuring some of Shakespeare's women characters. The show was performed in Marwick's garden. No photos or material so far.

Deja Re Vue

For the Troupe's tenth anniversary Florence McFarland and others helped create a revue. Bill Wollerman accompanied many of the skits on the piano.

Scenes from Twelfth Night

The second year of Bard in the Yard was scenes from Twelfth Night presented in John Marwick's garden and directed by John and Jerry Duckor. No pictures as yet.

The Lark

Trevor Rose directed Jean Anouilh's play The Lark about Joan of Arc. The play won an award for Best Costumes in that year's Wellington District Theatre Federation's full length play competition.  

The Glass Menagerie

The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams was directed by Florence McFarlane and Perry Rush. This was the first time that audience and actors were both on the stage in an intimate setting. 

The Good Doctor

The Good Doctor, described as a gentle satire by Neil Simon, was directed by Denise O’Reilly. No pictures as yet.

Aladdin

Aladdin, a traditional pantomime was directed by Denise O’Reilly No pictures yet.  

What You Will

Scenes with famous quotations by William Shakespeare that have become part of our language. Directed by John Marwick & Jerry Duckor and presented to a small audience over two nights in John Marwick's back garden.

A Voyage Around John Mortimer

Three short plays by John Mortimer were presented in one evening. Directors were Laurie Atkinson, Peter Hector, and John Marwick with Peter & Fran Baldock.

Jack & Jill and The Lost Temple

Jack & Jill and The Lost Temple was a new NZ pantomime written and directed by Denise O’Reilly. No photos so far.
