Just As You Like It
All the World’s a Stage – and did you know that for more than 20 years there have been two Wellington Summer Shakespeare productions? From 5 – 9 March Eastbourne’s award-winning Butterfly Creek Theatre Troupe will be presenting a Bard in the Yard production of As You Like It – and you can be part of it!
This delicious romantic comedy, to be directed by Anne Manchester, has great parts for women and men – young and not-so-young. So whether you fancy being a sassy tom-boy, a love-struck hero, a villainous (or a noble) father, a nasty brother, the ultimate cynic, the classic best friend, a vulgar clown, a girl who falls for a girl disguised as a boy, or even a professional wrestler – there’s a chance for some wonderful roles both large and small. Or maybe you can help with costumes, music, choreography, sound, props or help around and in front of the stage – we’d really love you to join our happy team!
Auditions will be held on Saturday 24 November from 14:00 to 17:00 and rehearsals will start in mid-January.
